Sneak Peek for Kari

Here is a little glimpse to tide you over 'till next week! They are lookin' good, my friend! Such cute boys, but don't worry, I won't post the bare bums! : )

Happy Pioneer Day!

The kids were already in bed for the fireworks, but since they light them right by our house we couldn't ignore them. So I grabbed the camera and grabbed a few shots from the driveway before heading to bed. Hope you all enjoyed your day.

Big News

I am so proud of my little brother, check out his exciting news for his band here!
He is releasing a super cool new album on I-tunes in a few weeks and has been signed with a label in Japan! You can also buy his music here in the meantime. Go check it out, you'll love it, too.

Golf

For Jeremy's Birthday I told him I wanted to go on a golf date with him. It was so much fun! It was my first official time golfing. I have been to the driving range before and even hit a few balls here and there on the course with Jeremy before, but I've never actually played a round.

I wasn't spectacular by any means but I did have a few great shots! On one hole I got a hole-in-one on my putt from about 20 ft away! It was amazing, I wish I had it on tape! However, one sand trap proved to be very difficult, it took me about 5 swings to get out. It would hit the lip and shoot right back in! Just picture a very comical loop-to-loop action.

Another comical moment....trying to get the ball back on the green and out of the rough. I hit a tree right in front of me and it nearly hit me on the rebound!!

My final score:85 on a par 36. Not too bad! haha! I told Jeremy to get me some clubs for Christmas!

Funny Story

Well, it's only funny now.  I had the maid of honor from Brenda's wedding do my hair for the wedding day (thank you). It looked great all day and I knew we would be getting up super early to get to the airport the next morning so I decided just to leave it in so I'd be ready to go in the morning without a shower.

Well, we get to airport security and the metal detector starts going crazy! I asked the guy if it was my belt and he says, no, it's something higher on your head. Um...My bobby pins, lots of them! I had to walk through a couple times and then he asks me if I want to take them out and I said no (my hair would've looked really terrible then). So I had to be searched and padded down.

Not just by one person but by 2 (one was in training)! The one being trained kept putting her watch by the wand and it would beep every time so she kept having to start all over searching me again and again. The trainer finally realized what she was doing and was angry with her! At this point I thought we were going to miss our plane!

They finally decided I wasn't a threat and let me go, we were the last ones to board the plane! They had been waiting for us. Anyway,  the moral of the story is....

Never, ever wear bobby pins to the airport!!! : )

Meet Jack

Meet Jack, our new family pet! He's a cute little thing and the kids love him. He is a miniature rat terrier so he'll stay pretty little.

We realized that up until this point Kai hasn't had a pet that he hasn't had to either flush or return! In fact, when Jeremy brought him home Kai said to him, "It's going to be really sad when we have to take him back!"

And just the other day Kai asked me, "Mom, how many days do we get to keep the dog?" I told him we get to keep him forever, and he just stared at me in disbelief! I don't think he understands that concept yet, poor kid!

Anyway, they are having a great time playing with him and chasing him. He even goes on walks with us now, in the stroller of course because he can't keep up yet.  Now we need to work on the chewing....

The Aftermath

After taking pictures of the puppy with the kids I let the kids in the house, got them a drink and went back out to feed Jack. Well, in the 5 minutes or so that I was gone, the kids decided to spit koolaid at each other and I walked in to find this.....

I called Jeremy to tell him and he thought I was exaggerating, until he saw the pictures himself! She was covered head to toe, and the walls and the floor were spotted too!

Kai's face was covered too, but not quite as bad. I tried washing them off, but since it was red koolaid it wouldn't come off, they look like they have chicken pox now! Needless to say, I will only be buying the clear koolaid from now on!

We did the Temple shoot at 6:30 am to try and beat the heat the day of the wedding! This was the first time Trevor had seen Brenda in her dress, it was fun to watch, they are so cute together.

Bridals

This woman is the epitome of grace and style; this post is huge because we got so many elegant shots that I just couldn't narrow it down! She is so beautiful it is impossible to take a bad picture of her! We did her bridals at the reception center in Arizona the day before the wedding; such a beautiful place, a photographer's dream!!

She wanted a 40's theme and had vintage pictures of her grandparents up at the reception next to this one (below). She looked so classy in her 40's dress that her mother made for her!

Thanks again, Brenda for letting me photograph your wedding, you were stunning! Look for a sneak peak of wedding shots soon.
